I used to walk down by the railway line, and watch the train go slowly rolling by
The sun always shone till I woke and found you gone

Together everywhere hand in hand, friends didn’t want to understand
They said that we were strange and were only playing games

And then they closed the old railway down, trains no longer came to this town

Then the weeds grew higher on the track, I didn’t think that I'd be coming back

They opened up the line recently, I ran down to the station just to see
The first train to arrive and I couldn’t help but smile
