Our new Taylor 910CEs

Here we are again - a terminal case of TAS (Taylor Acquisition Syndrome) - not one new Taylor, but two! Yes, that's right two brand spanking new Taylor 910CE guitars.

Jimmy was idly scanning the internet, drooling over Taylor guitars as usual - and we decided to investigate one which caught our attention. Then somehow happenstance kicked in, and there on the screen before us was a second one - this time a limited edition Brazilian Rosewood model (910CE-L7).

Now there was a dilemma... which 910? Yup, you guessed... we bought both. Val prefers Indian Rosewood and Jimmy's favourite has always been Brazilian, so no question as to who has which. They were both bought on the same day - one in Newcastle and the other in Scotland.

What can we say about these beautiful, superbly crafted instruments? They are exquisite... twins, but not identical:

  • One with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and Engelmann Spruce top
    • the other with Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce
  • One with Taylor gold tuners with black ebonoid buttons
    • the other with super Gotoh 510 tuners
  • One with intricately patterned fret marker inlays
    • the other with standard 900 series fret marker inlays, also reproduced on the bridge
  • One with the original Taylor Expression System
    • the other with the improved 2007 Expression System

They both sound wonderful acoustically combining bell-like trebles with beautifully balanced mid-range and solid (but not overpowering) bass. The Taylor Expression System captures every nuance of our playing, ensuring an accurate and natural sound when amplified. The guitars complement each other perfectly and are an inspiration for us to play - together they produce a subtle blend that is typically jiva. So much so that...

We will be selling two of our other 6-string guitars - we're keeping the Big Baby (our first ever Taylor) and the Brazilian Rosewood Yamaha FG580 and FG630... these guitars were responsible for shaping the original blossoming jiva sound, and therefore have unmatched sentimental value for us...

So we have decided to sell:

  • Taylor 810 CE cutaway - Indian Rosewood
  • Taylor XXV-DR cutaway  - 25th Anniversary Limited Edition (number 388 of only 500 made) Read more >>>

Both have the Taylor fitted Fishman system for an excellent amplified sound, and both come with their original millimetre-perfect-fitting Taylor original hard shell case.

We love our guitars and treat them with great care and respect, so both guitars are in very good condition. We are open to serious offers from people who would like to own one or both of these fine instruments.
