We took our time getting to know it well, experimenting with settings and recording, replacing bits, adding new footswitches/pedals etc. Finally we decided we were ready for its real test - live gigs.

On 25 May the Hexagon at Middlesbrough gave us the opportunity to crank it up in a 200 seater theatre where we shared a North East Folk Showcase with the Compass Rose Ceilidh Band. Our guest spot at Bacup Folk Club on 29 May allowed us to effortlessly fill the Conservative Club concert room with jiva's very own blend of acoustic guitars and vocal harmony.

Sound quality in both venues was clear and balanced, both front of house and on-stage monitoring - essential for our type of music. We recorded the gigs, and so you may hear some live songclips on the website soon.

The new PA has passed its test with flying colours - so is now firmly established.
