jiva with Allan Taylor
on the night
Remember 24 April 2004 when jiva opened the Allan Taylor concert in Allendale? That one was a spur of the moment decision/request from Allan after hearing us play One More Song at his songwriting workshop that afternoon.

This time it had been planned in advance - for over a year we had known we would be the support act for this concert. And wow! What a fabulous evening!

We relaxed beforehand with Allan playing our Taylor guitars and chatting about the set-list and singing and writing and performing... he did his sound check with his super new PA system, and then he set it up for us to play our spot.

jiva kicked off right on time with 4 of our own songs:

Then Allan did 2 brilliant spots, full of feeling, including requests which brought tears to Jimmy's eyes. The Bothal suite was packed, the atmosphere throughout was of friendship, sheer enjoyment and exhilaration.
