We flew all the way to New Jersey, USA, to see a Melanie (yes, the original Melanie) concert. We were staying at the same hotel as Melanie, husband Peter and son Beau Jarred - and guess who we met? You guessed it...
We got on well with them - Melanie was delighted that we'd come all that way especially to see her, and Peter asked for recordings of our music. (We just happened to have a copy of our demo CD and the one we recorded for Allan Taylor with us!)
The concert was excellent - front row seats in a 300-seater church with fabulous acoustics. Beau Jarred is an accomplished guitarist and opened with a 45 minute set - Melanie then took centre stage playing and singing non-stop for over 2 hours. It was just great... never to be forgotten.
