Surprise, surprise -
jiva began the evening with the
Allan Taylor song 'Back Again' and followed this with their favourite
love song, Linda Thompson's 'No Telling' - we'll get you dancing yet! |

Next up was Jim Wigfield, who
began with 'Cumulus', his song about clouds Then a new song about
personal hygiene called 'Granny Always Washed Between Her Toes'.

Tony Hamblin
was in fine singing voice with a couple of songs about the sea.
Firstly 'Go To Sea Once More' and then 'Admiral Benbow'. |

Regular
Jack Hakin
was back with more Boxcar Willie, this time
'Waiting For A Train'. He then sang the Billie Jo Spears country hit, 'Blanket
On The Ground'. |

Our first newcomer of the evening
was
Vince. He gave a good performance of the David Crosby song
'Almost Cut My Hair'. He then played an instrumental piece, the Irish
tune, 'The Lark In The Clear Air'. Much enjoyed by all. |

John Campbell is now
singing rock! His first song was the Pete Townsend song 'We Won't Get
Fooled Again' but he then found his way back to Folk with Bob Dylan's 'Throw It All Away'. |

In good voice again
Pat Yeowart sang Jackson
Browne's 'Fountain Of Sorrow'. She then finished the first half with
'Stormy Weather'. |

Mick, our next newcomer, kicked off
the second half with two of his own songs, 'Bound For Glory' and
'There's A Man He's A Coming'. Great to see you - come back
again. |

It's been a few weeks since we've had a poem from
Ann Lunam-Cowan.
She was on form and had us all joining in with the actions (pat-a-cake) to her
poem 'My Mother Said'. |

Kevin Robinson and
Dave Donohoe were next with the Bob Dylan standard 'Knocking On Heaven's
Door' followed by Kevin's own song, 'Easy Living'. |

Two tunesets from Lynn & Rob
provided our Northumbrian pipes 'fix' with 'Ally's Tune' & 'The
Morpeth Lasses' followed by 'Young Scottie' & 'The Fiery Clock Face'. |

On
his own tonight (Al-less as Val put it),
Pete Cryer
was in good
voice with 'Lord Franklin' which he followed with the somewhat risqué
'Not Tonight Marie'.

Alex Okon was in great form
with J S Bach's 'Jesu Joy Of Man's Desiring' which he followed with
the 'Habanera' from Bizet's Carmen. Fatherhood obviously agrees with
him. |

Neil was back with a new
guitar! (A Dean electro-acoustic.) He sang two of
his own compositions, 'Now It Is Over' and 'By Midnight I Should Be On My Way'. |

The evening came to an end with two songs from Ben Yeowart
- 'Keep Your Hand On That Plough' and then a great 12 bar version of
Dylan's 'Brand New Leopardskin Pill Box Hat'. |
