Ricky Silvester

First performed at the club in April 2005.

Performs mainly traditional songs and tunes on acoustic fiddle, mandolin and guitar.

Takes material from Irish, Scottish and American sources. Has a wide range of electric and acoustic influences with no particular favourite artists. Likes to explore musical styles and techniques.

Prefers singers nights rather than guest nights as you get a wider selection of music. Has played many clubs all over the country over the past 25 years but particularly enjoys Ashington Folk Club as it is such a friendly venue.
