Jimmy & Carol
Jimmy and Carol first met at Cramlington Folk Club in 2000. Heavily influenced by bluegrass and American folk they go for a strong melody, good basic chord structure and harmony singing.
Carol sings a good blues and took up the double bass in 2004 to complement Jimmy's guitar and harmonica. Jimmy will stop at nothing (including Daniel O'Donnell songs).
Their main influences are Tim O'Brien, Kate Wolfe, Steve Earle and Valerie Smith.
We first saw them at Ashington in September 2004 and have enjoyed their visits since then, so much so that they were a natural choice for an extended Spotlight performance on 20 October 2005.
